Entry: Notes Sunday, August 15, 2004



I have this habit of writing myself notes when I'm drunk and I know I'll forget something interesting/important.  Shades of Heidi and her incessant list-making I guess.
Yesterday I got a note from myself that said:

Matthew Good Band - Load Me Up

No man - I shit you not... a monkey in a roast beef sandwhich...


Now the first part I can appreciate as some kind of music that took my drunken fancy... but that second part?  Is that a quote from a movie or something?  Does anyone recognize that madness?  A monkey in a roast beef sandwhich... what the?

I used to do that too! One morning I found this very silly verse about a waitress putting a steak in my heart. And something about Abu Dhabi.
